How the Plan Works
Our Old Testament readings are placed as close to chronological order as possible. Even the Psalms are set into Israel’s story where they best fit, and this is why some prophets—like Jeremiah—may feel a little “out of order.” The one exception is Job. While it may be the oldest book in the Bible, we’ve placed it near the end of the schedule because it’s hard to fit neatly anywhere else. In the New Testament, the Gospels are spaced throughout the year so that we keep returning again and again to the life and teaching of Jesus.
Why This Matters
You’ll be surprised how quickly the year moves along and how steady reading adds up. Many in our church have reached their goal of regular Bible reading using this schedule, and we believe you can too. God’s blessing rests on those who read, understand, and live by His Word. Our prayer is that this plan will help you love the Scriptures more deeply and see how God’s story unfolds from beginning to end.
Community Support
You’re not taking this journey alone! The church community stands alongside you as we explore the depths of the Bible together. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
So why wait? Let’s dive into the treasure trove that is God’s Word and experience the profound impact it can have on our lives. May you find joy, peace, and inspiration as you commit to daily bible reading!
In Christ’s love,
