Greetings and welcome to the “To The Word” Bible Reading Challenge! We are thrilled to invite you to embark on this transformative journey alongside us and many other churches across the nation. This reading plan, thoughtfully developed by Christ Church of Moscow, Idaho, offers an extraordinary opportunity to read through the entire Bible from September through May.
Why Daily Bible Reading?
The Bible is not merely a book; it is the living and active Word of God. The apostle Paul writes, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Reading the Bible daily connects us intimately with God, equips us with wisdom, and fortifies our faith.
Spiritual Transformation
The Word of God has the power to transform lives. As the writer of Hebrews proclaims, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). As we read through the Scriptures, we not only learn about God but are also led into a transformative relationship with Him.
Guidance for Daily Living
David, the psalmist, eloquently describes the benefits of meditating on God’s laws: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path” (Psalm 119:105). Whether we are facing challenges, needing encouragement, or searching for answers, the Bible illuminates our way and provides timely and timeless counsel.
Community Support
You’re not taking this journey alone! The church community stands alongside you as we explore the depths of the Bible together. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
So why wait? Let’s dive into the treasure trove that is God’s Word and experience the profound impact it can have on our lives. May you find joy, peace, and inspiration as you commit “To The Word” in the upcoming months!
In Christ’s love,
The Highlands Community Church Team
