Onan Coca

Onan Coca

Pastor Onan and his wife Leah have three children (Corban, Charlotte, and Sophia) and live in Dallas, Georgia.

Onan was raised in the church, making his first appearance as a newborn just a few days after his birth. He was saved at a young age and baptized as a teenager. He committed to serving the Lord at 17 when he decided to attend the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hudson, Florida. In 2004, after graduating from Liberty University, Onan and Leah were married and began their lives together. The couple moved to Paulding in 2007 when Onan started teaching in the county. In 2010, the Lord led the Coca family to the Journey Church in Austell, where they began to be discipled by their church family and made the decision to plant roots in this church body. Onan was ordained as an elder at Highlands Community Church in August of 2023.

The Cocas have a family heart for community and discipleship. They love sharing good meals and conversation with their church family and neighbors. Onan desires to proclaim God’s Truth, calling people to Holiness and Devotion. John 17:17 – “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

As a lay elder, Onan continues to work full-time in the community.
